Jonathan Drew Ashton was the gift borne to the late Charles and Ruby Ashton on December 6, 1964 in Chicago, IL. He was the sixth of their seven children. Jonathan left this earthly realm on February 28, 2021.
He was baptized Roman Catholic. He received confirmation and was an altar boy. As a practicing Catholic, he was a member of both Our Lady of the Gardens Church and Our Lady Gate of Heaven Church.
Jonathan “Jon” went to school in Chicago and where he received his high school diploma.
While Jon was sick for most of his life, he embraced life. He arranged and sold flowers to those he considered friends. Beginning as a teenager, he helped his widowed mother around the house with odd jobs, despite his disabilities.
Jon will remain in the heart of all those who hold him dear. He is survived by his siblings, Charlotte Ashton, Deborah P. Ashton, Diane M. Ashton, Christine M. Ashton Aguilera, and Anthony P. Ashton and a host of nieces and nephews. His brother, Charles J. Ashton preceded from this life before him.
