Obituary for Frances Marie Puckett

Frances Marie Puckett was born on August 28,
1930 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She was the only
child of Sally(Robinson)Donahue and Henry
Donahue (who preceded her in death).
Frances confessed hope in Christ at an early age at
Shiloh Baptist Church in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
She was raised in a loving home where kindness
and good work ethics were instilled in her everyday
life, and to always carry herself as a lady of Grace,
Eloquence and Dignity, which she was known for
throughout her life.

She attended Greater Johnstown High School where
she excelled in the choir and under the tutorship of
her beloved Professor Swanson, gained notoriety as
an exceptional first soprano. Upon her graduation,
Frances was honored and gifted with the name "The
Voice". Frances would later be heard on radio
stations and events throughout Johnstown,
Pennsylvania.

Frances later relocated to Chicago, Illinois and in
1949 met the love of her life, a gentleman by the
name President Puckett (Proceeded her in death).
They were united in holy matrimony June 11, 1950.
To this Union Five children were born: Stanley (Iris),
Denise, Gregory (proceeded her in death), Lance
(Rita) and Medina.
Frances and President were side by side for just
shy of 60 years. They were very proud of their family
and often affectionately referred to them as "The
Magnificent Seven".

Frances leaves to cherish her memory:
Daughters Denise and Medina Puckett and Sons:
Stanley (Iris) and Lance (Rita) Puckett,
Grandchildren: Nina Puckett, Natasha Puckett
and Reka Matthews. Greatgrandchildren: Karter
Matthews and Adam Mukes. Bonus
granddaughter, Angela Johnson and a lifelong
friend Rose Samuels. Frances also leaves a host
of cousins, relatives and friends.
