Obituary for Dolores D Meek

Dolores “Dee” Davis was born September 11, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ada Webb Davis and Fred G. Small. She was happily married to Byron Meek on September 11, 1982 until his passing. God never fails! He saw her pain and called her to eternal rest on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 8:55p.m.

Dee retired as Registrar at Kennedy King Jr. College and developed a bond with many who worked there and loved her. She was the Founder and President for over ten years to the Women of a Certain Age Organization, where she made lifelong sisterhood. We all know she lived life her way.

She leaves behind to mourn her: stepmother Gloria Small, her surviving children: Peggy Samuels and Shirlene Coppage, her sister: Shirley Boler and brother: Marvin Davis, Grandchildren: Rhonda, Tahirah, Journa, and Alissa, Godson: Willie, Jr., Nieces and nephews: Sheila, Andrew, Linda, Marva, Kristi, Kimberly, Joyce, Celeste, LaTonya, Tyree, Michael, Jr., Houston, Terrell and a host of great and great-great-grandchildren, great and grand nieces and nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving aunt Lena Robertson, parents Ada and Fred, sisters Dorothy, Ellene, Greta, daughter Yvonne and niece Sandra.
